Xi An Gourmet - Amherst

I rarely write any review but this place really has excellent authentic chinese food! Will come again.

It is a delicious Shaanxi gourmet restaurant with a majority of students. The girl at the front desk is very nice and enthusiastic.

Two people ordered one meat and one vegetarian dish (scrambled eggs with tomatoes and beef brisket stew with potatoes) and rice. It was $20 per person tax tip. It was a good meal. There are really a lot of eggs, and the beef brisket with skin is slightly salty but very fragrant. These are all normal flavors ~The service is really nothing except ordering and paying the bill, and the attitude is so-so...the water connection is self-service...I personally feel that the tip is not worth it?

My go-to place to have a warm and comfortable meal.Love the fried tomato and egg, savory and a little bit of sweet. The chicken nuggets were super hot, it’s like McDonald’s chicken nuggets but more crispy.Front desk lady always smiles and makes me feel really good.

For authentic taste of Xi’an cuisine, there are few things you should always order: Pork(not beef) burger, sliced beef noodle soup, and dumplings. Lamb is their signature dish but pricy. Spicy isn’t my thing but they do carry authentic spicy noodles on the menu. I’ve been picky recently and this makes me satisfied.
