Arigato Japanese - Amherst

As a New Yorker, I initially had low expectations for Western Mass Sushi, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish, especially considering the great prices. The service was both friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely be returning!

The sushi and ramen here are excellent for the price. It's definitely the best option in Amherst.

Unfortunately, I was left unimpressed. The seaweed salad was priced at $6, but the portion was a joke—just a small scoop of seaweed, and that was it. I ordered the vegetable yakisoba, but the vegetables seemed undercooked, and the entire dish was quite bland. The same went for my friend's teriyaki chicken. We also felt a bit neglected, as a server only came to check on us after a while and seemed surprised that we hadn’t received our food yet. I won't be returning.

Wow! Beautiful presentation and fresh fish, did not expect this much care to be placed in our cash register. Thank you very much. I'll have another night for dinner.

Big shrimps in the large Tempura dish, Sushi platter was amazing for the legit nigiri selection! Many maki rolls were covered in sauce, which seems to be a popular thing in US and Canada... Most people love it for the strong flavors, but I would recommend to not choose that type if you like fresh fish sushi concept.
