This was my second visit, and it wasn't as good as the first. On my first visit, the wings were extremely crispy, even after a 30-minute drive home, which would have earned a 5-star rating. However, this time, the wings were a bit soggy and lacked the same flavor, so I would give it 3 stars. Overall, my experience averages to 4 stars over two visits. My wife and I are debating whether to give it another try in the future.
I visited for Taco Tuesday and tried the pork belly tacos with mango salsa. They were tasty, but don't forget to order the Vietnamese fries—they're sweet and savory and come in a big portion! I was relieved when someone else mentioned that they forgot their sauce, as it turned out they forgot mine too. Fortunately, I asked for it before leaving. The staff were friendly and helpful.
This restaurant is fantastic! Right from the start, their menu is filled with amusing pun-filled names that are sure to make you smile. Every element of their Banh Mi sandwiches is crafted to perfection. I tried the Al Banhmi (beef) and the fried chicken Banh Mi with gochujang sauce. The beef was tender and bursting with flavor, while the fried chicken was crispy, hot, and juicy. The pickled daikon, carrots, and cilantro were standard for Banh Mi, but the bread—oh, the bread! I've had many Banh Mi with decent bread, but this one stands out with its delicious flavor, satisfying crunch, and it truly enhances the overall sandwich experience. They even brew their own iced teas, which pair perfectly with the sandwiches! I enjoyed the lemongrass ginger tea, and it complemented my meal wonderfully. If you’re not a sandwich fan, they also offer salads and bowls. The customer service was very friendly, providing great recommendations throughout my ordering process. This is a delightful Vietnamese fusion spot that I will definitely be coming back to!
Probably the worst experience I've had with any restaurant in the area based solely off of the food and cost. We ordered via door dash. The duck bao buns we got had minimal duck which was primarily fat and both the meat and bun we're incredibly dry and virtually flavorless. The 3 dollar side of pickled carrots and daikon came in a to go cup that was under 2 ounces and was primarily carrot, virtually no daikon to be found and was poorly pickled. The pho I ordered was definitely the worst I have had period. Virtually no meat (which comprised about a third of the description) the meat I got was nearly flavorless. The broth was lukewarm and tasted mostly of jalapeno. Not very savory in any way and completely one dimensional. Additionally the cost for all of this versus what I got equated to a nearly 40 dollar snack before dinner. Next time I'll be going to Gabby's on Main Street in Ambler where I can spend less money get twice the food and the food I get will actually taste like something.
Yesterday was my second time ordering food here and I'm so happy I remembered how delicious it was the first time. I'd tried it out a few weeks ago when I needed enough food for 5 people and we all loved it! Bao buns are soo good, the avocado fries, the pulled pork tacos! I put the mango salsa on my tacos, which is delicious with the wonton chips alone (also bangin and slightly sweet BTW). Lastly, I personally don't like when my mouth is on fire, but I do like some kick, so the spicy items having the perfect amount of heat and flavor is a treat to find. Thank you to the staff who work so hard, without enough help or nearly enough appreciation!!
