X Steakhouse - Amarillo

The cocktails were delightful, the service was quick, and the food was truly one-of-a-kind. My wife ordered the shrimp stuffed with crab and thoroughly enjoyed it, and the side dishes were also excellent. I opted for the redfish accompanied by rice and a Caesar salad. The salad had a slight kick to it but was not spicy at all; it was one of the best Caesars I've had in a long time. The portion of fish was generous, and there were small shrimp in the sauce, adding to the wonderful flavor. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning. It's a perfect spot for a date night, as the town square has a lovely atmosphere.

Perhaps it was due to the Christmas festivities and the presence of several parties, but our experience was underwhelming. My filet was tender, but it lacked flavor and had no crust to enhance its taste. My husband's New York strip was riddled with fat, resembling what one would expect from a ribeye. The steaks were unseasoned, and we had to request rolls. Recently, we've visited steakhouses that offered pickles at the table, included a carrot on the plate, and served bread without asking. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet our expectations, and we left feeling disappointed.

We have thoroughly enjoyed everything we've tried at X Bar. The reservation system is convenient, the food is excellent, and the staff—including the friendly waiters, bartenders, and managers—work together seamlessly to make our Sunday brunch experiences truly special!

I ordered a 10 ounce sirloin with steak fries. The fries were cool to the touch and the steak was also cool/warm with no seasoning at all, my girlfriendhad the quail which was also cool/warm. Very bland dinner for 70.00 (two people). The waitress was very nice and at our table often checking on us. The service was absolutely stellar!

I've always had excellent steaks that are cooked perfectly. The X- kitchen is managed very well and they are serious about serving your food to your exact specifications and expectations. Our food was delicious, we had excellent service, and enjoyed our evening.
