Surya Restaurant - alubha

While staying nearby with limited dinner options, we decided to give this restaurant a try. The experience was satisfactory, with clean surroundings and most dishes ranging from okay to good. However, the Chinese vegetable noodle dish lacked flavor. Overall, it was a decent meal but not recommended for a special occasion.

We have visited the restaurant several times. The last one was with my son and family in the first week of October. The ambience is good, fully airconditioned and neat. Parking space is barely sufficient. They have dining space on two floors with a clear...view of the main road. Food is good, though not great. We had the regular stuff, Kerala parotta and biriyani. Though it was noon-time the parotta was fresh and excellent. I said fresh because usually at lunchtime such restaurants are better at the standard lunch while such a-la-carte fare is better in the evenings. Overall the experience was good, but I say a bit pricey. One disadvantage is that their toilets are on the second floor and there is no lift to take you there; one has to climb the stairs.

Ample parking, neat n clean two level space, toilets only on third floor, food is just average especially fish curry meals where as price is relatively higher and not worth value.

Visited Surya with my husband and baby.. They provide good baby seats.. Food was hot n good.. Felt little overpriced.. But the ambience is beautiful.. Both lunch n dinner was good.. Found bees flying inside once we went but hope it's cos of the lights at night.. Overall good experience.. The service was pleasant..

Simple basic stuff done reasonably well. Only wish food was hot but fixed menu @ 3 pm has its own drawbacks I guess. .
