Teriz Place - Altoona

If you're not accustomed to dive bars, you might find this place a bit intimidating when you first enter. However, the atmosphere is friendly, and it's always a great experience. Every other Friday, they feature a DJ who plays a fantastic range of music that you won’t typically hear at your local dance club. Expect to hear artists like Johnny Cash, Metallica, Social Distortion, Slipknot, Frank Turner, Hank 3, Monster Magnet, Soundgarden, Motörhead, Old Crow Medicine Show, Volbeat, Bob Marley, Static-X, Pantera, Rob Zombie, Primus, Rancid, and The Clash, among others—including some Iron Maiden. I rated it four stars because I love this kind of vibe, so you should definitely check it out!

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, with a smoking bar and friendly service. They offer cold beer, but the kitchen doesn’t seem to be open often. It’s more of a casual spot where you can relax, play pool, and enjoy drinks.
