O Texugo - Almada

Texugo is a modest restaurant located in Sobreda, Almada, outside the touristic areas. This restaurant offers very good grilled dishes, both meat and fish, along with fair prices. The restaurant is quite old, but offers a terrace that is quite OK for night time (dinner), especially during the summer. Enjoy!

It was not my first time there, but was one of the best. The portions were big, the wine fresh and young, doing the dinner exceptional. We asked for roasted octopus with potatoes and roasted cod fish with potatoes à lagareiro (means roasted with many olive oil) and drunk fresh green wine. It was phenomenal! We asked four portions for six persons and we brought food for home. In the end, we ate special desert of Chef Artur, a kind of coffee pudim, that tasted sweet and soft. The bill was around 20 euros per person. If you are thinking in your next time in Portugal fell like a Portuguese, paying not so much, I recommend leave the touristic routes and have a meal in this restaurant. It 's outside of Lisbon, in Almada. You can take a boat in Lisbon until Cacilhas (nice trip), take a bus, taxi or uber until the restaurant. Or you can rent a car and put the address in GPS. Enjoy it! P.S. when you arrive, ask first for Chef Artur 's desert and reserve it! Sometimes they just disappear!

Encomendámos comida do Texugo para take-away e não poderia ter ficado mais satisfeita. Doses generosas, comida muito saborosa e confeccionada no ponto. Será difícil dizer qual dos 3 pratos que pedimos foi o melhor: o pernil muito bem temperado e saboroso; o bacalhau com natas delicioso ou o polvo com batata a murro extremamente bem cozinhado e tenro! Em suma, comida deliciosa e experiência a repetir, será certamente um restaurante a adicionar a minha lista de restaurantes habituais!

Boa comida. Bom serviço. Polvo à lagareiro muito bom. E uma boa carvoada também. As porções são muito generosas.

Polvo excepcional, do melhor que já comi. Doses muito grandes. Atendimento rápido, simpático e prestável. Sobremesas muito boas. Parque de estacionamento à porta. Recomendo vivamente
