There was a line of (4) people in front of me, and when I asked if they had placed their orders yet they all expressed confusion as no one had ordered and no one was helping them. As it was hot and sunny, I stood a little to the side to try and stay in the shade while I waited. I could see into the kitchen and was honestly confused as I could see the Cook preparing food, but the (3) other people were laughing and talking inside ignoring the line. I watched them as I was trying to figure out what was going on for over ten min, when apparently they got tired of me watching them. They asked if they could help me, and I replied that I wanted to place an order but there were customers lined up that hadn't ordered yet. The woman was rude and stated that they were not taking orders, and were getting caught up. She then looked me straight in the eye and said she could see the customers waiting. WOW. So they would rather watch their customers wonder what is going on and ignore them than simply let people know that they are waiting to take more orders until they get caught up. Lost my business right there moving forward. I used to work at one of the only places to get the vintage sodas , ice cream treats, and coney island dogs in the Portland Metropolitan area. I get how busy burger stands can get on a nice day. I don't get choosing to ignore customers because you have decided to not accept any orders, and not even having the simple courtesy to advise them of such. I drove down the highway to Pickering Rd and got a great burger at Klays Burger
This place is AMAZING.
