The Lion Crown - Allen

I've dined here several times and haven't been particularly impressed. My wife is British, and having lived in the UK during my youth, I'm always on the lookout for a nice pub. Unfortunately, this isn’t one of them. I ordered the Fish and Chips, but the batter on the fish was soggy, and the fish itself didn’t taste very fresh. At least the fries were good, but I barely touched the fish. My wife had the Irish stew, which was delicious, but it was served in a shallow bowl that caused it to cool down quickly. The background music was a confusing mix of genres, and the sound system was poorly tuned, making it mostly just bass-heavy. Overall, I don’t plan on returning. Given the prices of the dishes, I expected a much better dining experience.

My husband and I enjoy having lunch here. He usually orders the fish and chips, which he claims they prepare exceptionally well. Yesterday, I tried their BLT along with some fried pickles, and let me tell you, the fried pickles were fantastic! We don't drink, so I can't comment on their selection of alcohol.

I've had a great experience every time I've visited. The young bartender with dark hair is fantastic— I just wish I could remember his name. Additionally, the woman who served my husband and me on the patio was very kind. I really appreciate being able to go somewhere where I can count on good service; it truly makes or breaks a place. Since I work nearby, I will definitely keep recommending this establishment.

This place is great for live music of all kinds. Usually there's cover bands there. The pool table is a bit worn down but it's a good place for darts and having a few drinks. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Watched two ladies pour their own drinksfrom the tap and then got in trouble for it. Hilarious. Great atmosphere and ambience.

It was fun, like stepping into another time. An English pub with a sweet atmosphere to dine in. The menu carried English Faire. I had fish and chips. The fish was flaky bits of fish, breaded and deep fried. It was slow when we were there but had plenty ofspace to have a busy Saturday at the pub.
