Kfc - Allen

I previously went to another location in Allen, where they played some inappropriate rap music, which put me off for a while. I decided to give this place another chance because my family wanted to eat there, but unfortunately, the service was disappointing, and the overall experience was just not good. I hope others have a better experience, but it certainly wasn’t the case for me today.

We visited the restaurant for a family dinner in the late evening. The service manager was incredibly sweet and very polite, making the wait for fresh chicken worthwhile. I appreciate her pleasant demeanor, which really contributed to a soothing atmosphere, along with her friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Food: 5/5.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the floor was wet and uneven, making it easy for someone to slip. The person at the counter didn’t bother to inform us that there are small and large fries. When I inquired about ordering a medium size, she simply said no without any explanation. I even suggested to the staff that they put up a sign indicating where the floor is slippery, but my request was ignored. Unfortunately, the service here is quite poor. Additionally, the restrooms were dirty and had a bad odor.

Local children in the HS use the bathrooms for smoking or something they should not be. The staff was completely oblivious and unwilling to take any action. Eating was fast food and would probably just pick up and go. Food: 3/5

Food is hit or miss at this location. They seem to run out of food, at least certain items anyway. Service is typically pretty great, though. I have not gone inside the building in quite a while, so I won't comment on the state of the building right now, except to say it looks fairly run down (inside). Therefore, my review is based only on drive-thru experiences.
