Eggsquisite Cafe - Allen

We literally had a fabulous server. Admittedly so. First time I ate here. I usually like dirty old dives and cafes. This place is the Upscale version. The same delicious biscuits and gravey, hashbrowns, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, etc... just cleaner and no junk collecting dust all over the walls. The reason I did not give them 5 stars for atmosphere. Call me crazy.

Sadly need to rank 3 stars. Would probably rank 4 if but I value food quality over service so, 3 it is.Had their chicken and waffles and while the presentation was great, the item was dry. Few things are harder for me to get past more than dry food, except perhaps overcooked.The waffle was also a bit flavorless. I tried son's side of pancakes and didn't really hit right either.Service was pleasant and the $3.59 cup of Segafredo coffee was a positive.May try again, but uncertain

This was my second visit, and I came away with just as high an opinion of this cafe as I had the first time. I ordered the smoked salmon toast, and it was delicious. The menu offerings are varied beyond those of the typical breakfast restaurant. The food is consistently good, and the service is excellent. Because the ceiling is very high, the noise level is conducive to conversation, and no one rushed us to leave before we finished reading the newspaper. Prices are fair, and military/vets get a discount.
