Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet - Allen

This was the worst dining experience we have ever had. The restaurant operated in a dishonest manner. We visited on a Saturday for the weekend buffet, where the counter clearly stated that lamb shanks were available for dinner and one would be provided for each adult. However, when we asked for it, a kitchen staff member informed us that it would only be available after 4pm, despite us confirming this with him twice. Upon checking out, we were charged the full price for the weekend buffet, and were informed that the lamb shanks were actually available. Why did the staff lie to us initially? Were they purposely discriminating against us by not offering the same food and service? Despite our complaints, they refused to take any action. We used to dine at this Dimassi restaurant frequently, but not only has the quality of the food declined, the service has as well. We are very disappointed and have no intention of returning.

Normally, Dimassi‘s is very good. But today was much different. My wife, the girls and I went to eat in the evening. As we were walking through the line, we noticed a cricket in the food (as pictured). I did point this out to a worker, who quickly removed it. Unfortunately, the damage was already done as the girls lost their appetite. My wife and I tried to power through it. I was assuming they would offer at least one meal comped, but they charged full price for all 4 meals. Not only that, they charged adult price for our 9 year old. We were both shocked. Not coming back to this location.

Went here for a fun dinner experience and to try a bunch of Mediterranean dishes. It had a quiet atmosphere and was not crowded (Wednesday evening). Some of the dishes were quite good, while others were just average or bad. The gyro meat was just good but that was the only meat I liked… the fish tasted very fishy and the other meats were very over cooked. Great hummus and pita bread! Not a lot of staff so we ended up waiting at some points. Not many dessert options but there was a little bit of fruit that was very delicious.Overall good, but not good enough for the steep price.

I absolutely love dining at this restaurant! They offer a great selection of Mediterranean dishes that are consistently delicious. The atmosphere is clean and friendly, and we have never been disappointed during any of our visits.

I am a fan of Dimassi's, but there are noticeable differences in the food at the Richardson, Frisco, and Allen locations. Of the three, the Allen location is my least preferred. The meats and soup here taste more bland compared to the other locations. The Kefta has a strange texture, unlike any other places I've tried it, almost like a packed sausage. The beets and breads are heavily over-seasoned, making it feel like biting into sand. The food used to be better when the restaurant first opened, so I'm not sure what changed. The Allen location is very clean and usually quiet, which is nice, but I have mostly stopped going there unless I happen to be nearby for another reason.
