Beyond Thai Cuisine - Aliso Viejo

Food used to be good here but after quite a few disappointing experiences with service and food we stopped going here. The male manager was extremely rude and condescending when we brought our food quality issue to his attention and called me a liar. (This was specifically about a takeout order that we had ingredients missing from our dish and he literally yelled at me saying I'm lying because he had personally packed our order). I had paid EXTRA for an order or broccoli and not only there was not the usual amount, there was zero broccoli in it. It's a shame since they were our neighborhood. It's one thing to mess up orders but to be rude, condescending, and yell at your loyal customer for bringing issues to your attention is something else. Besides this incident, the food quality has declined (tomatoes in our last tum yum soups tasted rotten) and they have become stingy on putting produce into their dishes . Every time I was forced to pay extra just to get some vegetables added and they still wouldn't add much. Do not recommend!

Honestly, I've yet to find a better Thai place in Orange County. Great food with flavors and choices. The food is fresh and the service is great! Better spot for a casual dinner rather than a fancy anniversary or birthday dinner.

Solo dinner with myself ended up in this solid choice for Thai food. Welcoming atmosphere from the get go by the waiters/waitresses. I had the spring rolls as an appetizer and the pad thai with tofu as my entree. When the spring rolls came out, I was surprised at the scarcity in portion for the price. Ah, the boundless presence of inflation. I should know better by now. Nevertheless, it was light and fresh, pairing perfectly with the tantalizing peanut sauce. You'll most likely find yourself scooping up every last drop of it. The entree came out and the presentation was immaculate. It was comfort food through and through. My only gripe was that it was a little more sour in taste than I preferred. Portion was great in that it could have sufficed for two people, as I had plenty left over to take home. The atmosphere was very peaceful and I loved the decor. There was a marble stone painting to my left that really amplified the aesthetic and gave you a zen feel. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely come by again when the next chance arises.

Beyond Thai is beyond awesome. Loved the Golden Tofu lightly fried, but perfectly crispy on the outside with a creamy flawless texture inside. I honestly don't know how they do that. When I fry tofu it gets chewy. The Cool summer rolls were just that, cool, with fresh light ingredients and a delicious peanut dipping sauce. The beef Pad See Ew was like nothing I've had in recent time. It was absolutely delicious. Al dente noodles that were well coated and seasoned and the beef was tender and delicious. We were full but knew we needed to make room for the mango sticky rice and we're so glad we did. Not sure what the sauce is, on the jasmine but it wasn't super sweet and definitely tied the dish together. Polite and efficient service. All in all, a delicious meal!

We have eaten here many many times. Always satisfied with the food. Services friendly and prompt. I've never had a problem here. Highly recommend. Your taste buds will thank you!
