Cavallario's Steak Seafood

The bourbon pecan salmon is really good. Decent size for the price too.

We were happy to find Cavallario 's open on October 4th at 8 p.m., since so many other places had already closed for the season (we had no idea about the season before visiting 1,000 Islands area) or had closed very early evening. We ordered wine (decent selection), blue cheese stuffed filet, and the steak maison. They serve bread coated with a garlic butter topping, which, while it is a bit sloppy to cut and serve, was delicious! Our filets were tender, cooked to perfection (medium... 'raw ' and cool in the middle) and were excellent cuts of meat. I highly recommend if you are in the area. They play excellent music to set up a nice romantic dining experience. The reason I am giving it a 4, is because of the lighting. It was incredibly bright and disturbed the ambiance, which was a real shortcoming of an otherwise excellent dinner.

Ate dinner there on our honeymoon and thought it was great. We decided to come back 50 years later on our anniversary. We were a little leary because of some bad reviews we read But was pleasantly surprised that it was just as good as back then. I've learned that some people are never satisfied.
