Pilar's - Alexandria

I am from the Bahamas and my family and I discovered this restaurant on Yelp. We were not disappointed - the service was friendly and fast, and the food was delicious. We would definitely go there again.

The shrimp quesadillas are amazing at this restaurant! The service is pretty good, although the food can sometimes take a while to come out, but it is definitely worth the wait.

The staff was extremely welcoming even though we arrived just half an hour before closing time. The food was quite delicious, though not the absolute best we've ever had. They provided complimentary chips and salsa. Although we were the only diners at the time, there were others playing pool in the back, with love songs creating a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

I've only been here once and it was late at night. Seems to be a family owned business. The prices are very reasonable and the food was decent. I had the beef tacos and a tamales when I visited. The food didn't take too long to come out of the kitchen either. The restaurant has a very authentic feel to it. They had sports playing playing on the tv, karoake being sang, and people on the pool table. Overall satisfied with my visit. I will be back to try some of the other foods they have to offer.

Literally tastes like grandmas food! Glad I found this gem that's literally 5 mins up the street. So far, tried Mariscos paella, shrimp quesadilla, pupusas, and tamales. All tasted delicious, will be coming back! Only con is that the food takes a while.
