フィードバックを提供するWe visited Hummingbird for Alexandria Restaurant Week but ended up choosing from their regular menu. Our table had a lovely view of the Potomac River, and our server, Vlad, was exceptional. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful. We started with the Heirloom Tomato salad as an appetizer, which was remarkable—the peaches were a fantastic touch! My vegetarian fiancée enjoyed the Ratatouille, complemented with a side of pasta, while I opted for the Spanish Mussels with Shrimp, which were flavorful and satisfying. For dessert, we finished our meal with...
I had heard that the food at Hummingbird was not great, but since it was an acquaintance's birthday and they opted for Hummingbird for Sunday brunch, I decided to go along. I wasn't particularly excited about the Sunday brunch menu, so I ordered a salad and requested the dressing on the side—unfortunately, that didn't happen. Thousand Island dressing, which they refer to as Louie dressing, is usually good, so I can't be too critical of the salad; however, there was definitely too much dressing. As for the deviled eggs, they were quite bland and unremarkable.
This past Tuesday, it was pouring rain, and after a long workday in the area, we were really hungry. We nearly walked past this restaurant, but thankfully we didn't! There were eight of us, and we were seated at a corner table with an incredible view of the waterfront. The service exceeded our expectations for the area. Our waiter was friendly and assisted us with both our beer and food choices. I ordered the rabbit potpie, and a few others in our group chose the whole branzino fish. The food was fantastic. This place is a real gem!
We stopped by last Tuesday after a long day of work, and we were really hungry. We nearly overlooked this restaurant, but we’re so glad we didn’t! There were eight of us in total, and we were seated at the corner table, which offered the best views of the water. The service was outstanding for the area. Our waiter was friendly and provided excellent recommendations for both beer and food. I tried the rabbit pots, while some of my friends ordered the whole branzino fish. The food was fantastic. This place is a hidden gem! Don’t miss it!
Had a simple meal in the bar when I was in the store and at the Indigo Hotel. Had a dirty vodka martini and a Caesar salad and later a glass of wine. Bar filled later and the salad was great with juicy good chicken and the bartender was very friendly, and let me take what was left to finish in my room. Nice people, nice restaurant and hotel.
