Alcobaca was our first stop heading north from Lisbon. We had a excellent Portuguese lunch there cooked perfectly. My wife had the Arroz Piexe and loved it. I have been wanting Sardines from Portugal since the last time I was there and they were in season. These hit the spot perfectly so I have to give this moderate restaurant a top rating. You can't go wrong here.

Excellent service and very good lunch , typical Portuguese cheese, olives, and tuna as an entré followed by a roasted chicken for one and a fish/shrimp with rice dish for the other. Perfect late lunch dishes.
