Cais Pizzaria Steak House - Albufeira

Best thing about the restaurant was the chips, the burger just didn't look or taste right so left it, people there were friendly but wondered why it was quite empty

I really do not agree with the other reviews of this restaurant. We ate here twice during our week stay in Albufeira and loved the simple, homely food. We ended up choosing restaurants that didn't have greasy waiters pouncing on you when you walked by. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who served us with drinks straight away. The menu offered a wide range of pasta and pizza dishes and a small selection of starters. The selection of starters did not really appeal to me and the brushetta I ordered had far too much garlic on for my personal taste. My partner had the soup on both visits and it was filled with fresh ingredients. If you're looking for a traditional lasagne go here!! It was the best I've had anywhere. The first evening we went the restaurant and seating area outside were busy, but this did not prevent us having excellent service. Our waitress was polite and helpful, and let us get on with our meal, unlike some of the other restaurants we went to that had waiters constantly coming over. The second evening we went was very quiet this was presumably down to the stormy weather, but again our meal was lovely and service excellent. Couldn't recommend more!

Poor service 15 minute wait for drink 55 minute wait for a basic bowl of pasta and I had to chase them for that, no interest from staff and the owner was not interested at all. The restaurant wasn't very busy (obvious why as you would only visit once) and all customers were aggravated by the poor service (plenty of clock watching as they became more frustrated).The young couple next to us were eating their starters when we arrived and when we left they were still awaiting their main course!!! The bill even took 10 minutes and two requests before it arrived. The food was not very good either and pretty bland. The worst restaurant I have ever eaten in I did inform the owner of that before I left he smiled at me !!!

After passing this place the first 3 nights we did not make the same mistake on the 4th night.. Food was to die for, staff were friendly and the food was very reasonably priced for what we got! there was 8 of us there and everyone loved the food! From the pizza to the amazing steak we came back each night for the rest of the week! My only criticism is that the drinks were dear but when you are only paying €12 for a delicious steak then you can get over that! Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal in albufeira!!!!

Saw this place whie walking around always looked busy (probably due to long waiting time) yet looked very cosy and inviting! After ordering it took half an hour to ask where meals are, this was met by a response of I little longer not even an Im sorry ill go check for you! Might aswell have just ignored me! After this we got up to the bar and said weve waited half an hour for food we want to pay for drinks as the wait and customer service had ruined the experience! We were told the meals are close to being finished and its homemade so will take a bit longer than usual which is understandable but had to pay for our meals if we wanted to walk! Also they said we werent waiting half an hour but we actually were as the lady admitted a second later! Also seen frozen ingredients being brought out of a cellar below....so much for being fresh and homemade!! Stupidly admitting to pay we agreed to takeaway the food in a box and get out ASAP!! At which point the food wasnt even ready even after attempting to be persuaded it was ready if we took our seats again! All in all a horrible experience do not go here!!!
