Oh dear where do I start. Was desperate to find authentic Portuguese cuisine and followed a sign from the corner of the square. Saying the best authentic food. Surroundings were authentic enough, but quite dated. There was 1 harassed man serving 6 tables of 2! Started well enough 7.50 euros for house wine. Tasty. Wanted authentic food so ordered 2 prawn cocktails. Totally 80’s style food, no flair. .. prawns had shell and sandbags still in them. Disappointing. Ordered Portuguese steak and chicken piri piri. Oh dear! White tasteless overcooked steak with all I can describe as a bit of plastic supermarket ham and chunks of garlic, overcooked potato chips and bland salad, very poor ! Chicken was bland and overcooked no taste at all and poor chips with poor attempt at salad. Totally disappointed and cost 50 euros for the privilege. To top it all slow service. No extras, ie no olives or bread offered, no finishing liqueur or even a mint. Lasting taste is overpowering garlic. Praying that there is no lasting effects.

Everything about our experience here was great, the shellfish cataplana was delicious as was the house red wine and our host was lovely, many thanks

We visited during our holiday in September 2023. The host was very knowledgeable and explained the wine making process well. The wine tasting was excellent. The wine was so nice we ordered some to be delivered to us at home in the UK. After an initial issue with the UPS delivery, we received the wine and decided to keep it for Christmas. What a great decision. The wine was even nicer than we remembered. Would really recommend a visit for the wine tasting.

Good wines, nice view, great seating, and a good choice if you want to relax with a glass of wine, alone or with your friends. Very nice staff.
