Petes Duck Inn - Albany

Honest food and friendly service. I had the Yummy brisket in homemade BBQ on a bun. My lovely dinner companion had a fairly basic fish sandwich. It looks like most of the apps are from a truck, but what are ya gonna do?

Well considering you are in a town as small as Albany, this place is ok for a quick bite on the way out of town. I asked for snapping crisp fries and they were wimpy. The ham sandwich was super tasty...salty but tasty. Be polite to the staff. Remember you are in a small burg and people are leary of strangers.

Me and my girlfriend like to find family own restaurants and try them out and I fell in love with this place. I got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. I actually ended up getting two it was so good. The staff was very friendly and the bar had a pretty good atmosphere. Much older crowd, but that didn't bother us.

We had a cousins' reunion at Pete's Duck Inn in Albany, Indiana. We had a wonderful time. Laughed and loved being together. The service was terrific. The food was good. We came from Florida, Missouri, Ohio and Indiana. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich...my first at a restaurant. It was huge and I couldn't finish it. We have enjoyed many meals at the Duck and look forward to many more.

The pan-fried chicken is excellent, but unfortunately, it's not available on Sundays. The menu features classic American dishes like steaks, pork chops, and sandwiches. The food is definitely reliable, and the beer is affordably priced. The atmosphere has an authentic feel, and the bartenders and waitstaff are friendly. The only downsides are the lack of windows and it can feel somewhat stuffy inside.
