Mcgeary's - Albany

Almost five star if there wasn't such loud music of an out of tune band playing. The food and service was fantastic. I highly recommend the Shanwich and the Build Your Own Burger. Plenty of beers on tap and cocktails as well. A good spot for Albany. Parking is a challenge around the restaurant. Do not park in church parking lot next door. Plenty of signs about it.

Just stopped in for drinks, but after seeing and smelling the food. Couldn't help but order some and it was amazing. The place was packed but the staff was amazing and attentive. The bar itself had an authentic Ireland pub feel.

The first time in albany and we entered this sweet little Irish pub. nice home feel like walking. greeted by the bartender as soon as we got in. she was also very helpful to give us a look into the city and check. the burger and shoe fires were excellent. not sure what they season their burgers, but...wow....yummy everywhere! a certain stop if they are looking for an irish pub in the opposite direction to cool.

One thing I love about an Irish pub is getting the shepherds pie. This is not THAT kind of Irish pub. The menu is more American. That said... I got the brisket and vegetable soup and a Reuben sandwich. Both very good. My sister got a burger which she said was very good. Staff was friendly and efficient. A very casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Location, Location, Location! PLUS, The food was good. Parking was less hassle then I thought. The outdoor seating. Perfect! The service was excellent!! Speaking of the food: that blue cheese!? Thank you for not phoning that in with the fake, pre-made, BC dressing'. Thank for for making me and my daughter feel very welcomed. My second time in 5 years, and I'll be back. Sooner...
