La Taverna Dei Principi - ALATRI

La Conca is a perfect, regrettably now rare, example of the Italian trattoria, It is located in the very center of the middle age town of Alatri, 80 km south of Rome, in Ciociaria. In the old, very old premises (there is a largee subterranean room! your are hosted by Ugo, speedy, efficient, perpetually wisecracking. You should not miss the antipasti, primarily vegetable (zucchini, broccoletti, peperoni , for self-help on a table. You can have fettucine, with ragu, tomato, or piselli and mushrooms. Wonderful. You can have also fini-fini (extremely thin freshly made spaghetti: don't miss them and gnocchi. The lambchops, trippa, occasionally some day special. Absolutely simple, absolutely good.

Alatri is just in the heart of Italy, typical middleage little town, where you can find good food and strange people. One of these is the waiter of restaurant La Conca known as Ughetto funny and entertaining with his jokes and his smile that gives every meal the original and excluisive taste. He seems to be the owner but the owner himself let it be. Everytime I come to Ciociaria I can 't miss the winderful thin pizza of La Conca and the Ughetto touch . Last saturday we were three and each ate 3 bruschette (olive patè, olive oil and tomatoes , a Pizza Margherita and a medium beer, total amount 29 euros (9,33 euros each!

Trattore tipico della ciotola. Ho mangiato la pizza, buon sottile e croccante, buoni antipasti troppo, prezzo onesto. gestito da persone attenti al cliente e una simpatia unica. Vi consiglio anche di dolce crostata con marmellata di visciole.

Ambiente caldo, buon servizio e buon cibo. Sono stato fantastico.

Ottima location, ristrutturato in modo inpeccabile, questo bel locale del centro storico ti da il calore familiare che consente di trascorrere un'ottima serata spensierata. Cibo di qualità e servizio sempre pronto e professionale. Bravi ! Ottimo lavoro! Continuate così.... alla prossima!
