Cj's Si Señor - Alamogordo

Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday with a co-worker. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. We waited another 5 to 10 minutes to order and at least 30 more minutes for the food to arrive. After eating we had to ask more than once for a box and our checks. I had two beef stuffed sopapilla, one with mild green sauce and one with red sauce, that came with beans and rice. The food was good. The facility was clean, the decor was unique and interesting. The staff were polite and professional. The prices were reasonable. I'll be back again if I ever have 2 hours to kill. I'm not sure if it's always this busy but man, from the time we stepped in the door to the time we finally walked out was just too long, especially for a business lunch. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars.

I don’t know how they did it. But they put the flavor and cheap price and packed it it up into a nice bundle for you enjoy. However, sopapilla was disappointing. I felt like I was eating bread. No sugar or cinnamon at all on sopapilla.

Fast service and delicious food! Many interesting combos and dishes I haven't seen anywhere. Si Senor Combo was something else! Gigantic, so many flavors. The green pozole was delicious, like the rest of the combo. Never had a combo like this in a Mexican restaurant that has appetizer, entree and dessert. The raspberry cheesecake was also so good! You only have beer and wine cocktails (maybe this is a Alamogordo thing? Have not yet been found Mexican with real margarita in the city). You have the Dos Equis Ambar Especial, which I like more than the standard Mexican beers, and couples excellent with a lime and much too much food. Gary was a fantastic server, personal, got my order right, and everything came out quickly. I was hoping to determine what the Mexican restaurant was best in town, but I had only good experiences so far. CJ's definitely offers some things I didn't get elsewhere.

I absolutely love it here. Always. Whether I'm meeting a client, with friends, or even by myself, they take such good care of me. Brenda always comes and says hi if she's in. Food is great. Service is amazing. Always love it here.

Really good food and service! It can be pretty busy on the weekdays. The wait-list moves pretty fast, and the wait is worth it. Definitely recommend!
