I ordered pad kee mao with tofu. I didn't ask for a fish sauce and no ice. the server said it wasn't a problem. I didn't know until halfway through that there were tiny pieces of ice in the plate the appetizers were delicious. we ordered shiiitake tempura and fried tofu. it is only disappointing that they would not check twice as much as i, especially if it is a common allergy. I would have given them 4 stars for everything if the egg incident had not happened. I would check everything if you went here. updated by previous review on 2022-11-21
I ate dinner here on a Tuesday night. Having read recent reviews on Happy Cow with selection recommendations and responses warning of non-vegan ingredients in some dishes, I made sure to ask the server about ingredients to make sure what I ordered would indeed be vegan. The server went back to the kitchen twice to verify ingredients for me (and was very pleasant about it). He confirmed that: 1) the mock duck curry contains half half and cannot be made vegan; 2) most stir-fry dishes CAN be made vegan if specified. I ordered the mock duck Thai basil dinner. At just under $17, it was the priciest vegan option available. It was DELICIOUS. The crisp texture of the seitan coupled with its infused, hearty flavor were terrific, and the vegetables were perfectly stir-fried, brilliantly colorful with a tantalizing crunchy texture. A lovely special-occasion meal with a bit left for lunch the next day.
