The Village Cafe is a hidden gem! The food was excellent (the hot rock dish was a 10/10), the staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and the $12 cocktails on Friday night were a hit. Located near Woolworths, this is definitely a restaurant worth visiting.

The waiter was great and the restaurant was not too busy, which offered a great date night. our meals lasted from excellent to average, but the dessert made itself as fantastic.

This restaurant/cafe was a great find! Tucked up a side passage near Woolworths, but definitely worth a visit. Our dinner choice was fresh seafood cooked on hot volcanic rock. It was so good we visited again for breakfast twice! Service can be a little frustrating but the food is worth the hassle. Owner is in the kitchen and it makes such a difference. Good choice on the menu and everything we tried was fresh and well presented. Breakfast bowl with fresh fruit and museli hit the spot fruit was freshly cut and crisp. Serving sizes were also just right. Was our kids' favourite food spot while we were in Airlie. Would happily visit again. A+

We returned to The Village Café for dinner last night and we’re delighted by the excellent quality and variety of food and the attentive service by Bailey. We’ll be sure to return.
