Aerohus - Aeroe

Delicious food, cozy surroundings and unlabelled service. The reason for only 4/5 stars is that the price is liiige to the expensive side. And that there could be a little more out of the comfort of the table cover. Maybe because it was just lunch.

The atmosphere, the staff and of course the food was a super experience on hot summer evening in July. It is a long time since we have experienced a staff who was so aware of what was happening on the single tables without being intrusive. The food was well prepared and serving exactly. Thank you for the experience it will be remembered as a highlight. Ærøhus is definitely recommended as one of Ærø’s best dining options.

There is OK food served here, but prices are far to high. We had wienerschnitzel (at 275 DKK) and chicken (at 298 DKK) and both dishes were OK, although the chicken was overcooked and dry. The prices are way to high compared to provinsial restaruants in other parts of Denmark. THis is also true when it come to beer, where you will pay 78 DKK for ½ liter local beer. Outrageous. Service is fine.

A cozy and nice place, the food was fine but not flashy. We got good service from Janne, price-wise, it was at the high end, to my taste (compared to the quality of the food)

We were two people who rang to book a table the lady we spoke to said we could just turn up. When we arrived, just after 6 o'clock, we were greeted by a very negative lady, who complained that there were too many people already, that there wouldn't be room for us. We then mentioned what she had told us on the phone, she gave us a table. Not sure what her problem was as the restaurant was nowhere near full, or at anytime during our meal. We then ordered our meals waited for nearly an hour. She came with the wrong food to my daughter, who ordered a lovely sounding vegan meal. She should have had fried apples coscous salad, but was given boring white potatoes green beans with her vegan beef. The food was taken away brought back with the correct food, but still the boring potatoes on the plate. The vegan beef was cold as it was the same plate they came back with. My food was ok apart from the fish being too salty. We got no apology from the lady only her poor suffering husband no compensation. The portions were very small way over priced. With very bad service poor over priced food drink, we will never set foot in here again.
