Brewers Fayre Tirfounder Fields

I checked into the hotel at 8 o'clock and was pleased to have a room available. However, the breweries didn't impress me as much as the beef meat cakes, which were quite enjoyable. After a few beers, I was ready to call it a night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although there were COVID restrictions in place during my visit, everything was well organized, making them hardly noticeable.

I celebrated my 5th birthday here, and overall, it was a nice experience. The staff, especially Nicki, were really friendly. They kindly kept our cake in the back for us and provided us with 12 dishes and a free carton of cream. The carvery was decent, but there wasn’t enough meat, even though I did get an upgrade. The bratkartoffels weren't the best, but the rest of the food was satisfactory. I also loved the great children's corner!

The food was decent, earning a solid 3 out of 5 stars. I sampled the Gammon Egg and Chips, which I would recommend for its satisfying flavors. However, the service also scored a 3; it was neither outstanding nor terrible, just adequate for a casual lunch. The atmosphere felt average as well, contributing to an overall experience that was pleasant but not particularly memorable. Considering the reasonable price range of £10 to £20 per person, it's a good spot for a quick meal if you're in the area.

I visited for breakfast after an overnight stay at the nearby Premier Inn. They've switched to a buffet breakfast on weekends, and I don't think it worked particularly well. While there were the typical food options, we must have arrived at an unfortunate time; some items were nearly gone, and the food was lukewarm. I wasn't impressed.
