Midway On The Square Italian Steakhouse

Had a wonderful family reunion at Midway on the Square in Abbeville today. Such a great place to hold this kind of function and the food and service was phenomenal. I loved the calamari and my eggplant parmigiana. Thanks so much to the owners and staff for a great time and great food.

We had a private family gathering, and it was wonderful! The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Located in the heart of town, this newly renovated building captures the charming ambiance of old Abbeville. The restrooms are easily accessible, which adds to the convenience. The staff is friendly and attentive, contributing to a welcoming experience. The menu features a great selection, and the food is nothing short of excellent. Sadly, the restaurant will be closing on December 31, but it plans to return with a new name and theme.

Located in the heart of Abbeville, Louisiana, this restaurant is truly a gem, conveniently situated near the historic city center. It perfectly blends modern aesthetics with local beverages, seafood, Italian cuisine, and a touch of spicy Southern Cajun flair. In my humble opinion, I highly recommend trying the: 1) Fried Green Tomatoes, which are uniquely exceptional, 2) Veal Parmesan, and 3) they have a fantastic local porter on tap. If porter isn’t your preference, there are plenty of other local craft drinks available. I do wish they would add Pasta Aglio e Olio to the menu; it seems increasingly rare to find this dish anywhere these days. While I thoroughly enjoy all the fantastic offerings, sometimes I just crave a simple dish of pasta with oil and garlic, perhaps paired with some bread.
