La Piazza Itallano - El Dorado

I love Italian food and this is as close to authentic as it becomes. The staff will take Italy to Eldorado Arkansas. The dining room is date night set; Dim lighting, opera for static sounds and a wide selection of wines. Have fun.

It was mostly a fine experience. The decor is kinda outdated, but service and the food here were pretty good. That's what I enjoyed mostly. Our server was quick to check on our table and never allowed our drinks to go empty. She was extremely attentive, without hovering over us. Recommend.

Great service here. Everyone is really friendly. They are offering dine in. Could be great authentic Italian food but I feel like they take too many short cuts to save a dollar. I understand it is difficult right now with covid and they are not usually busy as it is. The owners are authentic Italians I do believe but again due to trying to save money the food is just okay. We have had several pasta dishes. Been here 3 times. I ordered red clam linguini once and it was full of canned clams. Again it could have been great if it had 5 fresh clams in it instead of a cup of canned clams. The chicken in the pasta has a strange texture like it has been cooked, frozen and defrosted. The flavor is still good. The gorgonzola pasta tasted like lean cuisine primavera to me. The best thing we have had is the marsala. It was really good. The shrimp scampi was garlicky and good also. The hot rolls are great too. We want to go back to try the pizza.

In my opinion the service is very poor. We showed up early and then waited a extremely long time to get are food. I had notice people who came in after were getting there food The waitress didn't even come buy to check if we needed refills. They said they were sorry and it was due to lack of help, know it is an easy excuse to use but why were the other customere getting there food first. I will never eat there agian.

The waitress was either brand new or didn’t know her job. The brand new didn’t bother me. She had almost everything right until we asked for go boxes. We waited at least 15 minutes after getting the to go boxes for our left overs, waiting on a check. She walked by multiple times without making eye contact with us before she finally brought the check and then stood over me until I signed it. She got a $10 tip but I don’t know that she understood it was for her performance as she kept asking us if this was a special occasion and telling us when something cost more while placing our order. My husbands steak was ordered medium but was very well done. Not impressed at all.
