フィードバックを提供するThe food was a fun, upscale take on Cajun food. The oysters were fresh, crab salad was a great combination of flavours, and the Brie and lobster dip was delicious. Wish I took more photos of the food before digging in!The server was a kind woman who handled some of the more “unpleasant” members of our group. She was professional and had a great attitude through it all. Wish I remembered her name to thank her.
Since Nola 's was purchased from the original owner, the staff has gone south. It is more like being in a low class bar now. We asked the waitress 3 times to have the musician lower the volume of the music to no avail. When we paid the musician a $40 tip to lower the music, he stormed out of the restaurant. It all started with the bar tender barking for us to move to the other end of the bar when we were just trying to order a glass of wine while waiting for a table. It was my fiancé 's birthday. It was a terrible experience. This was a Friday night. Other friends that had not been there wanted to try the Sunday brunch. A very hateful young man came over and told my fiancé they didn 't want him in there because he asked 3 times on the previous Friday to have the music volume lowered so we could hear one another without having to repeat our conversations over and over. Needless to say, they lost 6 well paying customers. The food is decent but my fiancé is from New Orleans. So it definitely does not measure up to those standards. And the staff is terrible. I personally believe there are drug issue from what I saw of the staff. The irritability definitely presents itself as I need more drugs to be happy again. I sent a message via Facebook to try to rectify the issue. No response. Poor customer service is definitely a problem for them.
Me and my fiance went to Nola 's for a special 'night out ' dinner. Our food was riddled with issues from being served raw cornbread and unremarkable main meals. The staff was curtious, kind, and attentive if not a bit snooty about having to take back the raw cornbread.Would not return unless they had a whole new kitchen staff.
The crawfish boil seemed to lack depth in flavor; it could have used more savory notes. The waffle and fried chicken, unfortunately, had soaked up most of the sauce by the time it reached our table, making for a rather dry meal. They really should consider serving the sauce on the side. Additionally, the breading on the fried chicken was quite underwhelming. While the restaurant has a lot of promise, I began to wonder if they might not have enough cooks in the kitchen, as they seemed a bit overwhelmed. The table next to us had a party of about eight to ten people, and not everyone was served at the same time, with a wait of around 15 to 20 minutes for all their meals.
The food was absolutely outstanding, and the staff was fantastic! Our waitress, Kelly, went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and frequently checked in to make sure everything was just right. The hostess was incredibly sweet, and every aspect of our experience was perfect. The food was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely return with friends! Keep up the great work!
